Ahaetulla laudankia
Range
From the Eastern Ghats through central India west to eastern Rajasthan; Odisha, Gujarat and Maharashtra
The Laudankia vine snake is a colubrid endemic to India. It is rare but has a relatively large range, extending from the Eastern Ghats through central India west to eastern Rajasthan (Wikipedia, general species account).
Its name derives from the Odia word laudanka, meaning dried stems of bottle gourd, which the snake resembles with its thin body and brownish colour. The Reptile Database lists Odisha, Gujarat and Maharashtra, and Nepal.
