The Andaman treepie is the smallest treepie, 32 cm long and weighing 92–113 g. The head and neck are bluish grey, the wings and long tail black with a white spot on the wing, and the lower breast and belly rufous, with a large blackish bill. It is threatened by habitat loss caused by logging in its restricted range on the Andaman Islands, and the scientific name commemorates the Anglo-Indian statesman Edward Clive Bayley (Wikipedia, general species account).
The cached account gives no diet or breeding information. SoIB 2023 treats it as an Andaman endemic and rates it a High conservation priority, with a Restricted range of about 4,700 km² and an inconclusive current trend of about −5% a year (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
