The Andaman Island worm snake, or Oates's blind snake, is a harmless blind snake endemic to the Andaman Islands. Until recently it was known only from its type locality, Table Island in the Cocos Group, which belongs to Myanmar, but a second specimen was reported from Mayabunder, off the coast of Middle Andaman Island, which belongs to India (Wikipedia, general species account).

Boulenger (1893) described it as yellowish, with 24 scales round the body and confluent brown spots forming lengthwise lines, with a total length of about 200 mm. It lays eggs. Its Indian occurrence rests on that one island record.
