Habitat

Range

Sri Lanka (per Wikipedia; India not listed)

Gravenhorst's frog, also called Gravenhorst's golden-backed frog or the Sri Lanka wood frog, is a frog in the family Ranidae. The Wikipedia account says it is endemic to Sri Lanka and does not list India, so its place on the Indian list should be checked (Wikipedia, general species account).

It occurs in marshes, agricultural land, grassland and bush forest below about 600 m. Adults are semi-arboreal and semi-aquatic, while the tadpoles live in stagnant water. It is common, and can be threatened by loss of wetlands to reclamation, urbanisation and agrochemical pollution, but it is present in many protected areas (Wikipedia, general species account).
