Chiromyscus langbianis
Range
Listed for India, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and China; type locality Langbian Peaks, South Annam (about 1,676-1,981m)
The Langbian tree rat, Chiromyscus langbianis, was described from the Langbian Peaks in South Annam, at about 1,680 to 1,980m. The Mammal Diversity Database lists it from India, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and China. A 2021 study of the genus in eastern Indochina found it splits into at least four distinct geographic groups, which occur alongside the northern and southern groups of C. thomasi (Mammal Diversity Database; Zoosystematics and Evolution 2021).
That study does not address India, and no source opened describes the Indian part of its range, so the Indian records should be checked. No size, habitat or diet detail was found.
