Range

Western India, Myanmar and Malaysia

Murray's house gecko is found in western India, Myanmar and Malaysia. It was previously considered the same species as Hemidactylus brookii but was revalidated by Lajmi and colleagues in 2016, and its status remains unclear because the type specimens are lost. The species name honours the British zoologist James A. Murray (Wikipedia, general species account).

The Reptile Database also lists Borneo. The account used here gives no further detail on its appearance or habits.
