Nanorana minica, the Nepal paa frog or small paa frog, is found in northern India, in Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, and in western and eastern Nepal. It is a fairly common species of subtropical montane forest and streams (Wikipedia, general species account).
Its tadpoles overwinter in streams. Check dams built for stream flow management have been found to change the behaviour, habitat use and body measurements of the overwintering tadpoles (Wikipedia, general species account).
