Oligodon kheriensis

Basic stats

Range

Uttar Pradesh (Kheri Division), Uttarakhand (Nainital district), western Nepal and Assam

The coral kukri snake is bright orange to coral red. It is thought to be nocturnal and to live underground most of the time, and to dig using its snout scale. It probably preys on earthworms and larvae (Wikipedia, general species account).

The first specimen was found in the Kheri Division of Uttar Pradesh and another in Mahendranagar in western Nepal. In 2014 and 2015 dead specimens were found in Nainital district of Uttarakhand, and in August 2020 one was rescued from a house there. The habits above are suppositions in the source, not observations.
