Raorchestes honnametti, the Honnametti bush frog, was described from the Biligiri Rangaswamy Tiger Reserve in Karnataka. It is a relatively small, nocturnal frog with a translucent vocal sac. Six adult males measured 21.7-24.8 mm, and the source gives the species a broader size range of 15-45 mm. It has been observed between 600 and 1,800 metres above sea level (Wikipedia, general species account).
The snout is longer than the horizontal diameter of the eye. The groin has three to four yellow blotches, with more yellow blotches on the front and back of the thigh, and light brown stripes make the snout region look like a light grey triangle. Individuals can be found calling in open areas from shrubs and bushes 0.5-1 m above the ground (Wikipedia, general species account).
