Duttaphrynus himalayanus, the Himalaya toad or Himalayan broad-skulled toad, is widely distributed throughout the Himalaya at 1,000-3,500 m above sea level. The source gives its length from snout to vent as 130 mm. The Yunnan populations are sometimes considered a separate species, Duttaphrynus cyphosus (Wikipedia, general species account).
The snout is short and blunt, the space between the eyes broader than the upper eyelid and the tympanum very small and rather indistinct. The toads are uniform brown. They have been seen eating grasshoppers, moths, ants and other invertebrates, are largely terrestrial, and breed in hill streams, small pools and puddles (Wikipedia, general species account).
