The East Indian leopard gecko, also known as Hardwicke's gecko, is a gecko of the family Eublepharidae, endemic to India and Bangladesh. It reaches 8 to 9 inches (20 to 23 cm). The body is covered above with small, irregular, flat scales intermixed with numerous roundish, cone-shaped tubercles, and the ear opening is large (Wikipedia, general species account).

It was reported as common in the 1970s at Tikerpada, a village at 600 m elevation on the Mahanadi river in the Satkosia Gorge Sanctuary, Odisha, where it is called Kalakuta Sapa. In captivity it was found to be timid, accepting a variety of insects and detecting prey by movement.
