Senapati's tree frog is a frog in the family Rhacophoridae endemic to north-eastern India. The Wikipedia account sits under the name Rohanixalus senapatiensis; it was formerly described in Chirixalus and moved to the new genus Rohanixalus in 2020. It was originally described as most similar in appearance to Rohanixalus vittatus, with a dark middorsal stripe and only rudimentary webbing on the hands (Wikipedia, general species account).
It lives in forests, mostly at their edges, and has also been seen on plantations, near human habitation and in secondary forest. It does not appear to need closed canopy but does need shrub and vegetation cover, and it has been seen between 200 and 1,600 m. Its range includes Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary. Scientists believe it breeds in early May near the start of the monsoon, with males calling around dusk. It is threatened by habitat loss and fragmentation for housing, roads and agriculture, and by pesticide and herbicide pollution (Wikipedia, general species account).
