Philautus kempii
Range
Type locality Upper Rotung, Arunachal Pradesh; also reported from Arunachal Pradesh generally and extreme eastern Tibet
Philautus kempii is known with certainty from its type locality, Upper Rotung in Arunachal Pradesh, in an area also claimed by China. It is also reported from Arunachal Pradesh more generally and from extreme eastern Tibet, though these records might represent another species. It should not be confused with Philautus kempiae (Wikipedia, general species account).
In preserved specimens the back is dark olive with symmetrically arranged greyish-green marks and a greyish-green snout. The snout is relatively long, sloping forwards, round and truncate in profile, and the hind limbs have obscure cross-bands (Wikipedia, general species account).
