Fejervarya multistriata
Fejervarya multistriata, the Hong Kong paddy frog or paddy frog, is a frog of the family Dicroglossidae. The general account gives it from southern China (Yunnan to Guangdong and Hainan) and Taiwan, probably extending to Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. In India it is documented from north-eastern states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur and Meghalaya, and its breeding was studied in Mizoram between 2016 and 2019 (published India records; Wikipedia, general species account).
Its taxonomy is complicated and not fully settled. What was formerly called Fejervarya limnocharis is now considered to consist of the more southern F. multistriata and the more northern F. kawamurai, so accounts of F. limnocharis may represent either, and accounts of F. multistriata could represent F. kawamurai, described as late as 2011 (Wikipedia, general species account).
