Firouzophrynus peninsularis, the peninsular toad or peninsular true toad, spends most of its time in forests and wetlands, though it has been found in urban areas too. It can live in some types of secondary forest but needs closed-canopy environments, and has been seen between 0 and 1,000 metres above sea level (Wikipedia, general species account).
The cached account is brief. It cites a 2021 reassessment of two lesser-known toad species from Peninsular India, and gives no description or range (Wikipedia, general species account).
