Indirana semipalmata is endemic to an area of under 20,000 square kilometres in the southern Western Ghats. It is a small frog, reaching about 36 mm from snout to vent. It is terrestrial, generally found on vegetation beside the banks of streams and rivers, and is mainly brown, with a mottled, lighter throat and chest (Wikipedia, general species account).
It breeds during the monsoon, laying eggs on moist rocks and tree bark. The tadpoles are terrestrial: they hatch, feed and metamorphose without ever entering standing water. The snout is blunt with moderate canthal ridges, and when the hind limbs are stretched forward the ankle joint reaches the snout (Wikipedia, general species account).
