Odorrana livida

Basic stats

Size

Adult females 89-97mm

Odorrana livida, the green mountain frog or green cascade frog, is known with certainty only from its neotype locality in the Dawna Range in Myanmar, near the Thai border. Molecular data suggest it is present in north-eastern India and peninsular Thailand too, while records from China refer to other species, so its Indian occurrence is not certain. In much of the literature it has been confused with other species, including Odorrana graminea (Wikipedia, general species account).

Adult females measure 89-97 mm in snout-vent length, based on the neotype and one other specimen, and males are presumably much smaller. The head is broad and the snout rounded (Wikipedia, general species account).
