The ornate narrow-mouthed frog (Microhyla ornata) is a small microhylid with a small head, no teeth, no discernible eardrum and an arrow-shaped mark on the back, generally yellowish with dark brown patches. Males measure about 24 mm from snout to vent and females about 28 mm. It occurs in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, including Kashmir, peninsular India and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and was once treated as the same species as Microhyla fissipes (Wikipedia, general species account).
It lives semi-buried in leaf litter and grass on the forest floor, is mainly nocturnal but also active by day in the rainy season, and breeds in ponds and temporary rain pools. In some habitats it shelters in elephant dung (Wikipedia, general species account).
