Whistler's warbler is a leaf warbler found in the Indian subcontinent from the Himalaya to Myanmar, in subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and heavily degraded former forest. It was previously placed in the genus Seicercus; a 2018 molecular phylogenetic study found neither Phylloscopus nor Seicercus monophyletic, and the two genera were merged into Phylloscopus, which has priority. The name commemorates the English ornithologist Hugh Whistler (1889–1943) (Wikipedia, general species account).
The cached account gives no description, measurements, diet or breeding information. SoIB 2023 rates it a Low conservation priority, a resident and local migrant forest bird with a Moderate range of about 146,000 km² and inconclusive long-term and current trends (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
