The white-browed bush robin is a passerine of the Old World flycatcher family found from the Himalaya to south-central China and north Vietnam, in rhododendron and conifer forests. The Taiwan bush robin was formerly regarded as a subspecies (Wikipedia, general species account).

White-browed bush robins display delayed plumage maturation: after becoming capable of breeding, first-year males retain their juvenile plumage, similar to that of adult females, to avoid direct competition with older males. They perform altitudinal migration and are insectivores. SoIB 2023 rates it a Moderate conservation priority, a resident and altitudinal migrant forest bird with a Restricted range of about 20,000 km² and insufficient data on trends (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
