Blanford's, or the crimson, rosefinch is a finch found in Bhutan, China, India and Nepal, in boreal forest. It was formerly placed in Carpodacus with the other rosefinches but was moved to the monotypic genus Agraphospiza on phylogenetic analyses of mitochondrial and nuclear DNA. It differs from Carpodacus rosefinches in having unstreaked plumage in both sexes, a thinner, less conical bill, more pointed wings and a shorter tail. The common name commemorates the English zoologist William Thomas Blanford (Wikipedia, general species account).

The cached account gives no measurements, diet or breeding information. SoIB 2023 lists it as a resident and altitudinal migrant forest bird that eats plants and seeds, without a priority category (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
