Habitat
Temperate forest; breeds on hillsides in open scrub; forages in low vegetation
Range
Breeds in China; winters toward northern Southeast Asia
The buff-throated warbler is a leaf warbler that breeds in China and winters down toward northern Southeast Asia, in temperate forests. Its underparts are yellowish and its upperparts greenish-grey, and the bill has a dark tip. It is like Tickell's leaf warbler but duller in colour, and can be identified by its short two-note call. It forages in low vegetation and breeds on hillsides in open scrub (Wikipedia, general species account).
The cached account does not describe its occurrence in India. SoIB 2023 lists it as a winter migrant and localised summer migrant of non-specialised habitat that eats invertebrates, without a priority category (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
