Dopasia gracilis

Basic stats

Range

Southern China, northern India, northern Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam

The Asian glass lizard, also called the Burmese glass lizard or Indian glass snake, is a legless lizard of the family Anguidae. It differs from the North American glass snake in having small palatine teeth in a very narrow band. The back scales form fourteen lengthwise rows, each with a slight continuous keel, and the belly scales are smooth in ten rows (Wikipedia, general species account).

It is found in southern China, northern India, northern Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. The account says it probably lives in dry places under stones, feeding on small lizards and mice, so these habits are not firmly established. The Reptile Database lists Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, North Bengal, Sikkim, Darjeeling and Himachal Pradesh.
