Range
Endemic to India; high in the Nilgiri Massif
Raorchestes primarrumpfi is endemic to India and has been seen high in the Nilgiri Massif. It lives in montane grasslands, especially swampy areas, and the female lays her eggs in clumps on blades of grass. Like other Raorchestes, it breeds through direct development with no free-swimming tadpole stage (Wikipedia, general species account).
Tourists visiting the nearby national parks leave plastic garbage, and incoming residents have brought domestic and feral cats, which prey on this frog (Wikipedia, general species account).
