The rufous-vented tit is an Asian songbird of the tit and chickadee family. Some of its subspecies were formerly assigned to its western relative, the rufous-naped tit, or the two were considered entirely conspecific. It is a native of the western Himalaya but has a very large range, occurring in parts of Bhutan, China, Pakistan, India, Myanmar and Nepal (Wikipedia, general species account).
Its natural habitats are boreal and temperate forests. In Bhutan, for example, the subspecies beavani is a rather common all-year resident in moist Bhutan fir forests between about 3,000 and 4,000 m. The cached account gives no measurements or breeding information. SoIB 2023 rates it a High conservation priority, a resident and altitudinal migrant forest bird with a Restricted range of about 35,400 km² and a rapid current decline of about 7% a year (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
