The russet bush warbler is a songbird formerly placed in the Old World warbler assemblage and now in the family Locustellidae. Until recently it was considered a subspecies of the Taiwan bush warbler, and the name russet bush warbler was applied to the entire species complex. It is found in Southeast Asia, and the scientific name commemorates the Italian naturalist Louis Mandelli (Wikipedia, general species account).
The cached account is short and gives no description, measurements, diet or breeding information, and it does not describe the Indian range. SoIB 2023 lists it as a summer migrant and localised winter migrant of grassland and scrub that eats invertebrates, without a priority category (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
