The white-browed shrike-babbler is found in the eastern Himalaya and Southeast Asia from northern Burma to southern Cambodia. In general appearance it is very like the Himalayan shrike-babbler, but all subspecies except validirostris have the tertials of males partly coloured rufous and partly fulvous. Like others in the genus it is found in montane forest, males and females have different plumages, and variation across its range has led several populations to be treated as subspecies; it was earlier called Tickell's shrike-tit (Wikipedia, general species account).
The cached account is partly confused about which shrike-babblers were lumped together, and gives no measurements, diet or breeding information. SoIB 2023 rates it a Low conservation priority, a resident and altitudinal migrant forest bird that eats invertebrates, with a Moderate range of about 105,000 km² and inconclusive trends (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
