Gore's bronzeback, also called the Himalayan bronzeback, is a tree snake endemic to Asia, found in parts of north-east India (Darjeeling, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh), northern Myanmar and western China (Tibet), and also reported from Vietnam. It is highly variable, typically non-venomous (some have enlarged rear fangs and toxic saliva), with large, regular scales on the head (Wikipedia, general species account).
Its preferred habitats are forest and shrubland, though it has also been found in agricultural areas. It is active by day, lives entirely in trees and lays eggs.
