Range
Nepal and north-east India, and the adjacent Yadong and Nyalam counties of Tibet (China)
The Nepalese brown-toothed shrew, Episoriculus soluensis, was earlier placed as a subspecies of E. sacratus from Nepal and Sikkim. A 2025 PLOS ONE study of the genus extended its known range from Nepal and north-east India into the adjacent Yadong and Nyalam counties of Tibet, the first record for China (PLOS ONE 2025, open access).
