North-western India south to southern Myanmar and east to Vietnam

The Southeast Asian softshell turtle is a softshell turtle of the family Trionychidae. Compared with a close relative, A. cartilaginea, it has an arrow-headed form and a lighter base colour with more diffuse yellow spotting, usually restricted to the cheeks. It has no eye-like spots, though black dots may be present on the carapace, and the neck tubercles are always weakly developed. The head always shows three, or rarely two, converging black lines (Wikipedia, general species account).

It is found throughout much of mainland South-east Asia, ranging from north-western India south to southern Myanmar and east to Vietnam. The Reptile Database lists northern India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.
