White-rumped Snowfinch

The white-rumped snowfinch is a passerine of the sparrow family and the only member of the genus Onychostruthus, sometimes placed in Montifringilla. It is found in Tibet and central-northern China, in rocky areas in mountainous regions (Wikipedia, general species account).

The cached account does not describe any occurrence in India and gives no description, measurements, diet or breeding information. SoIB 2023 lists it as a resident of alpine and cold desert and an omnivore, without a priority category, so its Indian range should be checked (Wikipedia, general species account; SoIB 2023).
